Function/Purpose: Cooling Vest. Intended for hot days to help keep your dog’s body temperature down. The light colour of this vest is to reflect the sun’s heat. Soak jacket in water and ring out before putting on your dog. The cool water transfers with the heat to provide your dog a cooling feeling while in hot temperatures.
Fit: Fits smaller than other Ruffwear products with less coverage. Sizes range from XXS-XL. Kona and Cali both wear size XS
Quality: Made up of three layers. Outer wicks water away. Middle layer absorbs water for evaporation. Inner layer transfers the cooling effect.
Features: Fit for wide range of motion. Side buckles for easy on-off. Reflective trim, light loop and name and number tag on the inside of the collar.
Likes: The idea of this vest is great. I found this vest did keep my dogs cooler to the touch and panting less in the heat.
Dislikes: While I do think this vest worked, I do not think it worked up to the hype these type of vests get.
Rating: If you have the money to spend, I’d say why not add this to the collection. Otherwise, save your money and make sure wherever you are there is shade for your dogs and plenty of water. **This should be done regardless if you have the vest or not**
