Product: Ruffwear Singletrak Pack
Price: $89.95US
Function/Purpose: Low-profile, streamline hydration pack. Best suited for workout runs. Items carried in the pack is water. Gradually prepare your dog for carry a weighted pack. Start with just a harness or empty pack and slow add weight, no more than 25% of your dog’s body weight.
Fit: Available in 3 adjustable sizes S-L/XL with all sizes being a 3.2L capacity. Cali and Kona both wear size S – 22-27 inch around the chest. I would prefer if this pack came in a XS, as the S is just slightly too big for Cali and she wears it on the tightest adjustment, with room for it to be a bit more snug.
Quality: Made of lightweight material. Zippers are of high sturdy quality.
Features: Includes two collapsible water bladders. The Singletrak Pack includes a fixed built-in harness. One large main compartment on each side. V-ring for leash attachment at the top. Padded straps and handle for comfort and lifting. Reflective trim for low light visibility. Pack comes with two collapsible water bottles, each 0.6L.
Likes: I like that this pack is small and has a very nice low-profile to the body, losing the bulk of most other packs. The other nice part of this pack, is the pockets are large enough to fit food, shammy and toy for a 2 day camping trip.
Dislikes: I dislike there isn’t a larger range of sizes, leaving it on the large size for Cali. Like with the Approach I do not like that the pack cannot detach from the harness.
Rating: 3 out of 5. We find other packs more practical and versatile for an outdoor lifestyle over this one, however, this pack is great for urban living, that dog that is your running companion or for the dog who needs a pack for obedience training.
