Juan de Fuca is an ocean side trail spanning 47 km from China Beach to Botanical Beach. Backpacking is an option to do the whole trail and is recommended to take 4-5 days. Of course can take different amount of days depending on your backpacking level. There are access points to different parts of this trail by car for day use. Bear bells are recommended as bears and other large animals are in the area.

Botanical Beach has a parking lot and less than 20min from lot to beach.

Sombrio Beach has a parking lot and less than 20min walk from lot to beach. Camping pads are at the beach.

China Beach has a parking lot and less than 20min walk from lot to beach.

Bear beach is accessed from either China Beach or Sombrio beach. It is 9 km away from China Beach and will take on average 3 hours to hike to. Bear beach to Sombrio beach is the only aspect of the Juan de Fuca Trail we have no experienced first-hand.
